HRAO Suggests Tourism Growth Measures to PM

The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha (HRAO), through its chairman JK Mohanty, has written to the Prime Minister suggesting measures for tourism growth. The proposals include prioritizing a smaller number of regional clusters instead of developing 50 individual destinations, similar to theme park development (like Disney World), offering land parcels at concessional rates, and providing capital investment and interest subsidies to upgrade hotels. Mohanty also advocated for a joint development model involving both the government and private stakeholders for tourism projects, and specifically highlighted the Golden Triangle of Odisha (Bhubaneswar-Puri-Konark) for international-standard development.
